Happy New Year

After a tumultuous few years through which we have prevailed, let us all resolve to make 2026 a turning point towards truth and happiness.

The reigniting of enthusiasm for our lives and our future together in a world that appreciates and prioritises peace and joy.

2025 saw us take the Sri Chinmoy Oneness Home Peace Run around the entire continent of Australia with runners from over 27 different nations coming here to carry the Peace Torch from April to August. You can see how and why we did that here.

Whilst the Peace Run is one of my personal most special endeavours to bring hope and healing to our world it belongs to us all and we can all avail ourselves of the message it shares. Peace begins in the heart of each individual and its very nature is to spread.

My other service of which you are doubtless aware  is to the animals with which we share our planet. It is the role of the caretaker human to supervise and facilitate a healthy planet and to strive for peace and harmony with nature for the fulfilment of all creatures on Earth. I strive to better understand what we all need to live a healthy life and help the caretakers understand their animals needs.

There are many more intuitive and gifted guides coming to the world stage. That is a very good outcome for the good on the planet that these extraordinary human beings are making themselves available to their fellow humans to help raise them out of the destructive patterns we have been pushed into in recent times even though the means of communicating these messages is fraught with peril for the unwary. You will know those who are good by their integrity and your own hearts resonance with their positive and uplifting messages.

An outcome of misplaced trust in western medical practice is that it is becoming too obvious now that it is increasingly letting us and our animals down and costing more than we can pay in more ways than financial.  This is encouraging more of us to look for better models of medicine and it is heartening to see that homeopathy is getting the consideration it deserves as a gentle and curative practice.

We currently have more young vets seeking information and training in integrative medicine and homeopathy in particular which is something I was hoping to live long enough to see happen. The brightest and most aspiring graduates and practitioners will find in homeopathy the satisfaction they are seeking from their veterinary career and animal carers are increasingly looking for good options like homeopathy to heal their family.

Over recent years we have lost many of our skills and gifts as we adjust to a faster less friendly world controlled largely by decisions that we often do not get to make ourselves.

We are losing connection to our hearts as we are forced into debilitating mental and nervous activity and mayhem because trust has been broken and we have removed ourselves from the healing balm of the natural world.

The loss of awe and a sense of purpose will ensue when we remove our attention from the unlimited natural wonders of the world and rely ever more upon the virtual or fantasies of creations of the finite human mind or artificial intelligence to keep us engaged in daily life. Our animal companions for all their unstinting acceptance of our human foibles are even more confused about this than we ourselves so anxiety and behaviour disorders in pets are keeping big pharma wealthy and animal owners vexed and frazzled.

The price we pay to live in society ourselves is also higher in terms of the restrictions and limitations placed on how we conduct our day- to- day activities anywhere from parking our car to banking or buying some groceries as our dependence on these artificial mechanisms take our jobs, our joy our humanity and our sanity. It is little wonder that our dogs whose job it is to keep us safe and entertained are also more anxious and perturbed than ever.

The stronger of these guardian animals will be suffering more skin “allergies” as their PNEI (Psycho-neuro-endocrine-immune) axis is tilted to full imbalance by these stimuli.

The weaker or less resilient will be having major anxiety and gut issues.

We have made our world so complicated in our attempt to make things easier that we are not doing ourselves or our animals any favours as our stress levels escalate unnecessarily.

Nature peeks through if you know where to look and have cultivated a happy heart and if you are not fearful of nature as so many people have become over recent times.

I was heartened by Sir David Attenborough’s last film about the Ocean.

because it reminds us that despite the devastation we have wrought upon the earth in our very short time here that the power of Mother Earth is above our shortcomings and still ready to forgive and heal if we stop causing harm.

If we stop causing harm.

A happy heart will always save us if we can learn to cultivate this and prioritise this above all else. Whilst good people strive to effect positive change in our world we can keep our own hearts safe by training ourselves to look for the good qualities of others and to immerse ourselves in the loving embrace of our Mother Earth whenever and wherever we can manage.

As we get older and wiser it can be more difficult to accept change as we become less flexible both in body and mind. If, like me, we are slow to accept change in the first instance then that makes our current situation even more challenging as the rate of change has escalated since we overstepped a few short years ago. As we now gallop headlong towards making ourselves redundant, we need to renew our hope that we will retain and value our humanity. Our animals are always by our side to the end to remind us to stop and smell the roses along the way so we must appreciate these simple joys and try to ignore the forces that wish to replace these gentle pleasures.

Walk barefoot on the grass or sand, smell the roses, appreciate the stars and meditate more.

A spiritual perspective will enable us all to weather the storms of human life and a solid foundation in homeopathy will provide the medicines we may need from time to time to keep us balanced.

The cyclical nature of all systems will ensure that we will ultimately come full circle to confront the error of our ways and embark on a new and hopefully better path towards a brighter future for our blue home.

We can and must live on hope.

Happy New Year  ..Be Brave, No Fear, No Fear.

Hope is sweet. Hope is illumining. Hope is fulfilling. Hope can be everlasting. Therefore, do not give up hope Even in the sunset of your life. (Sri Chinmoy)
